I have some big news that has been out in other places for a few days but that I have yet to post here. I’m going to be co-authoring the book “Bit Torrent for Dummies” with Susanah Gardner, author of 2 other “For Dummies” brand books. This is the first announced book in the whole world on bit torrent (says Amazon) and I’m really excited have the opportunity to work with Susie who has taken me under her wing and is showing me the “For Dummies” ropes.
I’ll be writing about installing and configuring bit torrent client software, finding torrents, creating content for distribution as a torrent, serving torrents, and other things related to the P2P filesharing protocol. If it’s a topic that interests you feel free to drop me a note. I’m doing some research this week before I start writing next. You’ll probably see a few more bit torrent related tips and tricks around here too as I’m following several new Technorati and Pubsub feeds via RSS to keep abreast of the latest developments and memes.
UPDATED: BitTorrent for Dummies listing on Amazon.com has been updated and now lists my name as well. 🙂
