Future in Review Conference and FIRE Podcast: An Insider’s View

As a photographer, social media enthusiast, and community builder, I’m stoked to get to work with some of the world’s best organizations. Today, I want to share insights into my journey with an organization that has significantly influenced my career and continues to shape the future – Future in Review (FiRe).

A decade ago, at Dent the Future in Sun Valley, Idaho, I was captivated by a talk from Mark Anderson, who presented his vision of the future with remarkable precision. This encounter led me to his think tank, Future in Review, a unique and fascinating company pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

Throughout my association with FiRe, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Anderson family. The Anderson I work most closely with is Berit Anderson. Always intellectually stimulating Berit’s research in climate change, smart electric grids, and information warfare is truly inspiring. Our collaboration on a weekly podcast is one of the highlights of my role and is an endeavor I am particularly proud of.

Our podcast, the Future in Review Podcast, features wide-ranging conversations about the future of various sectors including medicine, energy, technology, geopolitics, and more. It provides C-level insights into the future of technology and the global economy, which I believe is a great resource for anyone looking to understand the trajectory of these fields.

Future focused talks like ‘Planning The First Space Colony’.

FiRe is not just a think tank; it’s an incubator of innovative projects. From advocating for the protection of killer whales to monitoring global energy inflows and outflows, FiRe is a proactive agent of change. But one aspect that particularly stands out is our annual Future in Review Conference.

This action-oriented gathering, taking place this year at the stunning Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes from November 6-9, 2023, provides a roadmap for the next 5-10 years of technology and the global economy. The conference fosters long-term relationships and drives innovation, strategy, partnerships, investments, and recruiting. Over the past 20 years, FiRe has influenced the strategy of publicly traded companies, driven policy change, and contributed technical solutions for the public good.

A gang of my fav peeps — Berit Anderson, Sally Anderson, Sharon Anderson and Evan Anderson.

Our FiReStarter program is another aspect I am particularly proud of. It spotlights the world’s most innovative startups, providing them with a platform to connect with global leaders, CEOs, investors, and entrepreneurs.

Throughout my journey with FiRe, I’ve been privileged to work with the likes of Sally Anderson, the editor-in-chief of our publications, and Sharon Anderson Morris, the force behind FiRe Films. My role at FiRe has evolved from capturing conference moments through my lens to running our YouTube and podcasting channels and leading some of our AI content creation initiatives.

Thx for taking a look behind the curtain with me at what it takes to pull off this amazing annual event. 🙂

My decade-long adventure with Future in Review has been one of growth, learning, and discovery. If any of you are interested in getting involved, whether by pitching your company, speaking, presenting, or attending our events, I would love to hear from you. Together, let’s shape the future!
