Vancouver Community & Connections at the Intersection of Creativity and AI

What a night it was at our second Vancouver AI Community Meetup last Thursday! The energy and enthusiasm in the room was palpable as we explored the intersection of AI, creativity and visual arts.

A huge thank you to all who joined us – it was so wonderful to see nearly 100 people from diverse backgrounds engage in lively discussions.

We cast a wide net, gathering an eclectic crew of creative professionals, tech enthusiasts, developers, and visionaries from the business realm.

Together, we delved into the mesmerizing world of AI tools like DALL-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, guided by the illuminating demos of Kevin Broome, Stacie Ant, Meehae Song, and Michael Tippett.

A special salute to Jonny Williams from Squamish Nation, who, with song and story, welcomed us into a circle of learning and connection.

Hats off to Philippe and the Metacreation Lab for fueling our voyage with their generous sponsorship, and to Dennis, Mirjana, and their brigade of students for their unwavering support.

Our lensman, Peter Holst, captured the night’s magic.

The conversations that unfolded painted a vivid picture of AI’s role in pushing the boundaries of creativity, while also navigating the murky waters of ethics.

It fills me with pride to see our community charting these waters with keen minds and open hearts.

Mark your calendars for March 28th – our next expedition into the unknown! Snag your earlybird tickets through the portal below, and let’s continue to weave these threads of innovation and imagination together.
